I
had no idea of what God had planned. What started out as a private
passion
to transfer truth in a unique way has become an incredible
vehicle to share the gospel with millions. From my early teenage
days of ‘rapping’ the gospel to the present (20 years later),
I have seen a response of interest and appreciation as God’s
Word is magnified through rhythm and rhyme. You, and others like
you, made this possible. You took what I did on the forgotten street
corners
of the inner city, and helped spread the word to the world! Thank you |
The
work of translating the Epic came out of my 18 years of youth
ministry and evangelism. "While traveling the states and sharing exciting
biblical truths to young people, I began to realize that students
weren't feeling the vitality and directness that I sensed as I
read and studied the gospel story. I knew that the early readers
of the New Testament were captured and engaged by these writings,
and I want to see today’s generation impacted in the
same way.”
"I've
tried to present the radical message of Christ and his relevance
to and effect on humanity, realism, sin, and salvation, using contemporary
language as a catalyst. Language is where it starts." While
sharing this vision with my colleagues, I began realizing something
more than what I intended was going on. Imagine the opportunity to
transmit truth to a generation and see teens falling in love with
the scripture through a medium that they already heartily embrace!
I feel that God has given me a task that is far greater than I am,
but I’m committed to God and partners like you to see it happen! |
